Value stream

The means by which an organization creates value for customers and delivers it to them. It consists of multiple work processes that are interconnected. Traditionally, a value stream is thought of in terms of manufacturing physical goods. However, sales and marketing is also a value stream to the extent that it produces something tangible and measurable: actions on the part of the customer.  Also called a production system
